Welcome to johnwglenn.com. I am an editor and producer of illustrated nonfiction. Through the independent book production company, Aronson & Glenn LLC, I produce original illustrated books for children and young adults with the writer and editor Marc Aronson. Our books have been published by National Geographic and Simon & Schuster and have been awarded the Orbis Pictus Honor for Outstanding Nonfiction for Children (2011) and the Aesop Prize (2008); chosen as a Jane Addams Children’s Book Honoree (2009); and recognized as a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year (2008 and 2011).

I worked at ESPN from 2006–2012, first in ESPN Books and then in ESPN Content Development–Digital, where I produced or co-produced iPad apps and eBooks. I also worked for many years at the independent book production company Roundtable Press, where I edited illustrated nonfiction in a variety of formats for readers of all ages.

In more than fifteen years of bookmaking I have edited media tie-in products, how-to, biography, cookbooks, craft books, nature guides, history, science, and sports. Books I have edited and/or produced have been published by, among others, Black Dog & Leventhal; Chronicle Books; Consumer Reports; Disney Editions; Dorling Kindersley; ESPN Books; Faber & Faber; National Geographic; Popular Science; Quirk Books; Quirk Packaging; Simon & Schuster; Time Inc.
